9th Hallstättersee Ice Swimming and Austrian Championships

This year's 2025 Ice Swimming event at Lake Hallstatt, which will also serve as the Austrian Championships, will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2027, at the Untersee Beach.

This marks the ninth consecutive year that the Hallstättersee Ice Swim has been held in the region ; the event takes place on the northern shore of Lake Hallstatt, within the municipal boundaries of Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt , in Untersee Bay.

Swimmers will compete in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Hallstatt in four 25-meter lanes.

The heated boathouse of the water rescue service and temperature-controlled changing rooms will be available for the competitions, as well as two sauna barrels and a hot tub for warming up.
