Once again this year, a unique spectacle will be offered at the Salzkammergut Krampus Run on December 7 in the center of Bad Goisern. Because along the Marktstraße and around the newly designed market square there will once again be a unique atmosphere and an incredible soundscape.

The Legendary Krampus Run

The Salzkammergut Krampus Parade on December 7 has been attracting not only local visitors but also an increasing number of international guests for years. And so, once again this year, a unique, mystical atmosphere reigns along Goiserer Marktstraße.

The now-legendary Salzkammergut Krampus Run once again offers an unforgettable experience for young and old alike, with a special blend of tradition, customs, and modernity.

The Krampus Run Program

The Bad Goisern Volunteer Fire Department is looking forward to a fantastic, safe event with numerous spectators from near and far who will “treat themselves” to the Salzkammergut Krampus Parade.

Starting at 4:00 p.m., you can enjoy punch, mulled wine, and other delicacies at the numerous stands while you slowly get into the spirit of the spectacle.

The Children’s Krampus Run begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. The slightly “smaller” Krampuses can hardly wait to show off their masks, bells, and horns to the countless enthusiastic visitors. St. Nicholas brings up the rear of the children’s Krampus procession and hands out small gifts to well-behaved children at the municipal office, which is located right on the market square.

The highlight of the evening will undoubtedly be the grand Salzkammergut Krampus Parade, which begins at 7:00 p.m.

It will be fascinating to see the variety of masks, horns, and animal skins that the Krampus and Perchten groups—along with their companions, such as angels, St. Nicholases, and other characters—will present.

The groups will be introduced by emcees, along with their unique features.
