Summer in Gosau

Deep within the woods nestles the Loeckenmoos - an area of mountain moorland of outstanding natural beauty. Close by are the gritstone quarries which are accessible via local "land train". The area is rich in fossils and minerals, and discoveries have taught us much about the geological formation and history of the region.

Visit the museum of local history to discover more about local people, and their ways of life, throughout history. There are many lovely walks along the valley, through the mountain pastures, and up to the mountain summits which make for a very special day out, and which will allow you to experience the natural beauty of the area at close hand. For visitors who wish to take things a little easier, the Zwieselalm can be reached by Gosaukammbahn cable car.

From here there are magnificent views across the region. The Dachstein and the Gosaukamm mountain range area an eldorado for climbers, and for mountain bikers there are numerous tours and trails that vary in length and level of difficulty. Visit our region and feel at one with nature. Re-vitalise body and soul. Gosau is described as being „a place to discover inner harmony“.
