Dive into the world of art and visit the Jaeg Gallery at the Sportstadl in Gosau.


Paul Jaeg, born 1949 in Gosau, is an Austrian artist, writer and composer.


Jaeg deals with fine arts, literature and composition. After initial studies he continued his education as an autodidact.

In 1991 he founded Arovell Verlag, which he headed until 2016.


He is a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly, the Salzburg Authors' Group and the Salzkammergut Art Forum. Jaeg was curator of the Kunsthaus Deutschvilla in Strobl am Wolfgangsee from autumn 2008 to spring 2013 and since 2009 has belonged to the artist group Sinnenbrand, consisting of Peter Assmann, Ferdinand Götz, Richard Wall and Paul Jaeg. The artistic focus is on works and films based on the aroqart concept developed in-house.

From 1991 to 2019 he was represented at 110 exhibitions in Austria and Bavaria (46 solo exhibitions, 64 exhibitions together with other artists), for example at the Stadtmuseum Bad Ischl, Schiele Zentrum Krumlov, Künstlerhaus Salzburg, Romanischer Keller Salzburg, Phantastische Bibliothek Wetzlar, Johannes Kepler University Linz. In 1999 and 2011 he received a scholarship from the Province of Upper Austria.

The exhibition in Gosau is a temporary exhibition in 2 showrooms showing modern and postmodern painting.

The gallery Jaeg is open all year round from Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 18:00 o'clock.

exit Golling - Abtenau, Rußbach, Gosau
Gosau: Turn left at the cross Pass Gschütt. After a few meters you reach the Sportstadl on the right side of the street.

from Linz:
exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: Go to the center of Gosau. A few meters after the supermarket ADEG you reach the Sportstadl on the left side.


by bus (irregular on Sundays):
from Bad Ischl: bus in direction to "Gosausee" (Lake Gosau)
from Rußbach: bus in direction to Gosau
