Obertraun at the foot of the Dachstein Krippenstein is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut. Mountain adventure Dachstein Krippenstein

With the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car takes you in a panoramic gondola to the fascinating Dachstein Giant Ice Cave and the huge Mammoth Cave or further over the Krippenstein to the Dachstein plateau. The 5fingers viewing platform offers a fantastic view. A little higher still is the World Heritage Spiral, from where you can overlook the mountains of the Dachstein Salzkammergut holiday region.

You can safely enjoy the mountain world on the Heilbronn circular hiking trail on a three-hour hike. But more challenging tours are also well marked and waiting to be discovered by you.
