Violin Fest in Bad Goisern
Traditional - down-to-earth
There is no stage, no programme, no formalities during this violin fest. Instead, violinists meet together to share their love of music, and to perform together.
And so, at four o'clock in the afternoon, the violinists begin to play, and welcome any money donations in their hat. They perform traditional folk music. "Violins in Goisern" celebrates all the best things in life.
Wilfrid Kefer organised this historic, social occasion for the first time in 2000. It is thanks to him and his musical friends that we continue to celebrate this traditional and cultural fest today.
