Current closures in the Dachstein Salzkammergut

Here you will find a list of our current closures in the Holiday Region Dachstein Salzkammergut.

Koppental biking and hiking trail

Following the storm damage, the Koppental biking and hiking trail (R2/in Styria R19) is closed, as is the area in Koppenwinkel and Ebnersteg. There is currently no connection for hikers through the Koppental valley,
Cyclists currently have to use the main road or the Koppenpass.

 

Closure of the Gosau Abzw Pass Gschütt bus stop

The Gosau Abzw Pass Gschütt stop in the direction of Gosausee may no longer be served from 13.02.2024 due to legal requirements. The Bad Ischl / Golling direction is not affected by this. The new stop for line 541 is Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt and is located approx. 100m away on the B166 directly in front of Raiffeisenbank.

 

Salt mine Hallstatt

The footpath to the Hallstatt high valley will be closed from 02.04.2024 due to renovation work. During this time, only tickets for the ascent and descent will be sold. SIngle tickets will not be sold. The salt mine is open at the usual times.

 

Closure of the Sophienbrücke in Bad Goisern

The Sophienbrücke is from now on opened for pedestrians and cyclists, closed for cars.

 

Renovation of the Grabenbachstraße

The Grabenbachstraße has to be renovated after an intensive season with some heavy rainfalls. Therefore, the road is not passable again until the start of the bike season 2024

 

Short-term closures on the east bank trail at Lake Hallstatt

Short-term closures (15 min) are to be expected along the Ostuferwanderweg from 06.05.2024 to 08.05.2024 from 07:30 a.m. to 04:30 p.m. due to rock clearance work!

 

Closure of east bank trail at Lake Hallstatt

Due to rock clearance work, the east bank trail is closed from 13.05.2024 to 29.05.2024Monday to Thursday (07:30 a.m. - 04:30 p.m. - except public holidays).

 

Closure of the path to Upper Lake Gosau

The path to the Upper Lake Gosau is closed until 30.04. 2024 due to game feeding.

 

Closure Grubstraße

Due to the repair of storm damage, the Grubstraße is closed at the level of the Veitenhütte. The "Bärensteig" hiking trail is also affected. 
The closure will last until around 03.05.2024.
