Alpine emergency call 140

  • Keep calm, select emergency call (Alpine emergency call 140 or Euro emergency call 112)
  • Render first aid and provide the injured person
  • Follow the instructions and wait at the scene until help arrives
  • Don't make too much calls so the battery lasts long

Rules of conduct in nature

  • We leave nothing in nature and dispose of our garbage expertly.
  • We avoid disturbances in the peace and take care of flora and fauna.
  • We stay on the marked trails.
  • We leash our beloved four-legged friend to protect the other forest dwellers.
  • We observe the smoking ban and do not light a fire.
  • We only collect as much of berries and mushrooms as we need for ourselves.
  • We preserve the nature and admire flowers in the countryside rather than withered at home.
  • We pay attention to any information such as forestry work or locks and observe these.

We leave nothing lying around in nature and dispose of our rubbish professionally. We avoid disturbing the peace and show consideration for flora and fauna. We stay on the marked paths. We leash our beloved four-legged friend to protect the other inhabitants of the forest. We observe the smoking ban and do not light a fire. We collect only as much berries and mushrooms as we need for ourselves. We preserve nature and prefer to admire flowers in the open air rather than wilting at home. We pay attention to and follow any instructions such as forestry work or closures.

Blue mountain trails are easier paths, but they can also be narrow and steep. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are absolutely necessary.

Red mountain paths are mostly narrow paths, these are often steep and can have more dangerous passages. Short insured walking passages can be included from time to time. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are absolutely necessary.

Black mountain paths are very narrow and often steep and can be dangerous to fall. There are often insured passages and/or easy climbing sections that require the use of hands. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are essential.

Alpine routes lead into the free alpine or high alpine terrain and are not mountain paths in the conventional sense. They can have exposed, slippery and fall endangered as well as unsecured walking and climbing passages. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are absolutely necessary. If you have little hiking experience, we recommend that you contact one of our hiking and mountain guides.

There are two cable cars in the region. The Gosaukammbahn leads up to the Zwieselalm with an impressive view of the Gosausee and the Dachstein. The Dachstein Krippenstein cable car takes you up to the Dachstein high plateau, the 5fingers, the Dachstein Giant Ice Cave and Mammoth Cave. In Bad Ischl the Katrin cable car also takes you to the huts on the side of Bad Goisern.
