Kunstmue music festival in Bad Goisern

In July, again high quality music - regional and international - is waiting for you at the Kunstmue music festival in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt.

A unique music festival

The Kunstmue music festival in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt is an exceptional phenomenon, and that is not just a hollow marketing slogan, but can be documented. There is no other music festival in this form, at least in Austria:

Not only is admission free, but the event is also organized and organized exclusively by volunteers. The bands play at the best possible conditions and the audience helps with voluntary donations. The event is largely financed by the sale of drinks, food and merchandising. Sponsoring comes only from the region and is kept on a very low level. Such a hiding of any commercial interest can only mean one thing: it is all about the essential: the music, the festival experience and nothing else.

Ein Mix aus regionalen und internationalen Acts

The musical concept is simple: bands from the region are always present and share the stage with some of the better known acts from all over Austria and neighbouring countries.

The fact that all this also works is shown by the constantly increasing number of visitors since the first festival in 2003. By the way, the festival has been a two-day event since 2011, and in the same year the organising team set itself up on its own with the founding of the Kunstmue event association. All this and the fact that it is organized by a community that acts with passion instead of financial interests makes the Kunstmue music festival look to the future with optimism.
